SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE

PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD
This unit standard requires of learners to demonstrate the ability to implement and maintain health, safety and environmental legislation in a workplace.
Learners credited with this unit standard are capable of:
* Explaining the legislative framework of health, safety and environmental legislation at the workplace.
* Demonstrating knowledge pertaining to the requirements regarding a company’s health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and codes.
* Explaining the implementation and maintenance of health, safety and environmental legislation in a workplace.
