PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD
This unit standard is for persons required to render care and manage clients and significant others at home and to provide relevant information to clients and significant others. The learner will have a fundamental knowledge of the diseases common to the learners’ working environment.
The qualifying learner will be capable of :
* Providing information relating to disease and disability to individuals and groups.
* Assessing the health status of the client.
* Assisting in the management of the client’s daily living activities.
* Assisting in the maintenance of the client’s health status.
•Providing psycho-social support to the client and significant others.
* Assessing and taking responsibility for personal wellbeing.
Duration : 3 Months
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Submit the application for admission
2. Pay the non-refundable enrolment fee
3. Complete the required placement exams
4. Submit official transcripts from all institutions
Attend (these include institutions where the student may have attended and withdrawn without receiving credit)

2. Copies of your matric certificate or high school examination certificate
3. Two copies of your ID or passport
4. ID or passport of guardian
5. ID or passport sized photographs
